maybr your silence is some kind of living amends
one that you think to be helpful to me
or maybe it’s for you, so you can fully move on and leave the state of resentment that you’ve inhabited about me behind you
but you know what it’s not?
it’s not helpful
or kind
or considerate
it’s not mindful
nor is it compassionate
instead, your silence feels cold
empty, rude, and mean
like an unnaturally forced situation
kindness is not found in silence, it’s found in relating, being human, facing fears and overcoming them
I hope one day you feel empathy enough to act like I exist
despite our emotional past…
I’m still here. I’m still alive. I’m still just a human being.
